The primary owner of Norsk Industriutvikling AS is Valinor, with extensive experience in renewable projects and investments in sustainable business.

Valinor has enjoyed great success with green investments in recent years and is probably most known as the owner of EV charging company Zaptec, which it developed and listed publicly. Today, Zaptec is valued at about NOK 4.5 billion. Recently, Valinor announced that its subsidiary Norsk Havvind had entered a joint venture with the energy majors Total and Iberdrola on offshore wind on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This comes on top of the NOK 7 billion renewable projects developed by another subsidiary, Norsk Vind.

Valinor has also invested in energy storage, heat pumps, robots, and aquaculture. Valinor has a value-adjusted capital base of NOK 2.5 billion, and 90% of the company's profits go back to other sustainable investments.
